Quinces are lovely fruits that have a distinctive taste. They go really well with apples.
I usually mix quinces with apples when I make jelly or compote.

I picked all my quinces a few days ago to store before the frost damage them.

They won't keep all winter but a few weeks.

They have to be picked ripe otherwise they won't ripen unlike most fruits. I have read you can eat them raw but i usually cook mine.

They seem to be doing well in Brittany.

Try them! They are delicious!
