Parc de la Higourdais

Yesterday, after visiting Epiniac mairie to drop round a planning permission for some clients, I noticed a sign for "Parc de la Higourdais".

Having some spare time, I followed the signs! I am always keen to discover new areas.

About 5 minutes later, I found the spot, a very peaceful corner of Brittany!
It was very easy to find. We just followed the main road.

Signs were showing a choice of 2 walks. One of 4km (1 hour) and one of 7km (1h45min).

Chris and I had a quick visit and took a few photos. We will be back wearing adapted shoes rather than flip-flops!

For the 8th year in a row, Kiwanis Club organized yesterday (18th July) a jousting competition (joutes nautiques) at Dinan port. 21 teams competed in a very enthusiastic spirit!

Each team had its own theme and dressed up hoping to win a price.
Although each game only lasted a couple of minutes, it was fun to see them!

I had never seen Dinan port so busy!
I didn't count them all myself , but apparently 4 000 people were there cheering the players!

This morning I visited Robert Doisneau exhibition in Dinan. 120 black and white photos. I thought I would recognize most of them (I have 4 at home!) but it was not the case. To my surprise, I only knew less than a third of them!

We arrived at the right time, just before 11am, on time for the guided tour! Every day they have a guided tour at 11am. They don’t charge extra for the tour.

It took us about 1 hour to walk round it.

The 3D picture was amazing. It was done especially for this exhibition. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take photos!

If you like black and white photos, go and see this exhibition. It is on until 30th September 2010.

It is at the back of the theatre at the Centre de rencontres économiques et culturelles. It is very well-sign posted. Just follow the signs!
