This harvest festival (Fête des battages, la Terre et ses Métiers) is on for the 37th year!
It
will take place on 15th August 2012 in Hénansal from 12 pm and will
carry on all afternoon and evening.
What
you will find there...
Everything
to do with Harvesting wheat (tools, tractors, etc); cider making, bread making,
grocers, lacemakers, blacksmiths, shoemakers, stonemasons, sheepdogs, folk dancing
groups, street entertainment, Breton games, exhibitions of old tools and bicycles, vintage cars,
tractors, etc. And if you are up for it, stay for dinner, they will serve the “Potée”,
a traditional farmhouse casserole followed by some Breton music and dancing!
