Christmas market in Rennes

Rennes Christmas market is on until 24th December 2015, Place du Parlement de Bretagne. It is on everyday from 10am to 8pm.

Rennes is in Brittany.

Strasbourg Christmas market

If you are thinking about visiting Christmas markets, I would definitely recommend Strasbourg (Alsace, France). I was lucky enough to spend one Christmas there. It was beautiful! It was so cold (minus 18 degrees!!) but the breathtaking scenery made me forget how cold it was! Leaving in Brittant, we are not used to the snow and temperatures below zero.

We actually visited the centre of Strasbourg on Xmas day after a long lunch. It started to get dark, the place was packed with happy tourists from all over the world. A great memory!

No money left for the winter sales!

Out of the 93 000 French people recently surveyed, 67% of them don’t have any spare cash for the winter sales that start next week!

They obviously spent too much money over Christmas!

I always wait for the sales to buy cloths. Last year, I got some real bargains at 70/80% off.

Taden Christmas market

Taden Christmas market was held last Sunday (12th Dec 2010) and was once more a great event. So many great ideas for Xmas presents! Chocolates (my favorite stand!), paintings, baskets, necklaces, potteries, etc and the usual "galette saucisses" for a bite to eat.


Taden is near Dinan in Brittany. An evening craft market is held in the summer at the same place, around the "manoir de la Grand'Cour".

We have so many gifted artists in the area!
